An introduction to professional voice overs. Have you ever been told that you have a great voice? This exciting class will explore numerouls apects of voice over work for television, film, radio, audio books, documentaries and the internet in your area. We will cover all the basics, including how to prepare the all – important demo, how to be successful and earn great income in this exciting field. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and to hear examples of demos recoreded by professional voice actors. Class participants will even have a chance to record a commercial script under the direction of our Voicecoaches.com producer! This class is informative, lots of fun, and a great first step for anyone interested in voice acting professionally. Space is limited and registration closes one week prior to

This class is designed for the adults who would like to improve their voices for choir singing, for fun, or for the shower! Technical topics included in the course are: breathing and breath support, an open throat, a focused and projecting tone, posture, diction, and other issues that may arise as you try to sing. We will sing a variety of repertory from folk, classical, sacred, Broadway and perhaps a little Italian. There will be singing in ensemble, as well as individual coaching.

Want to be the sharpest knife in the drawer? Then learn how to use a chef’s knife the right way. In this hands-on class we’ll slice and dice, chop and julienne… we’ll even mince – garlic, that is. We’ll take the results of our labors and turn them into some good eats too! When you know how to handle a knife in a kitchen even the most mundane task becomes a breeze, and then the fun begins. This is a “must take” course for everyone who wants to improve their cooking skills. Please bring an 8” chef knife to each class or we can order one for you to keep prior to class for an additional $25.00. And you’ll learn the secret to making the most famous of all phyllo recipes – Baklava drenched in honey syrup.

Line dancing is not just for cowboys and cowgirls anymore! If you can do the Electric Slide or the Cotton Eye Joe, you can line dance! And even if you haven’t tried, we’ll teach you right from the beginning steps to all kinds of music (country, pop, Latin, and more). Get out of the chair and meet new friends as well as burn the same number of calories as a low-impact aerobic class and not even know you’re exercising! Wear shoes with soles that will slide easily (sneakers stick) and bring a bottle of water and your friends. No other special equipment is necessary and no partner needed.

Knotted Pearl Necklace

Make a pearl necklace using real fresh water pearls in a variety of shapes and colors. Learn a fast and fool -proof technique for making a classic necklace. Learn how to repair your other heirloom. Class covers elements of design, knotting, starting, and finishing techniques, and clasps. You will take home a completed pearl necklace and skills that will last you a lifetime. Required material fee is $15+ tax (payable to instructor at class), and it covers everything to complete class projects, as well as a comprehensive brochure. This is an ideal course for those who never studies a foreign language. By utilizing visual and audible association with familiar images, students will be able to build a vocabulary of at least 100 useful words. We will introduce important verbs, that will empower students to build dozens of sentences within the first two classes. By the end of the course, students will be able to express what they need, like, and can do, ask simple questions, understand basic answers, and most of all, they will get a sense of accomplishment from speaking a foreign language. We will practice social protocol, and learn about cultural differences. Please bring a pack of index cards and 3 colored markers. Required materials fee is $10+ tax (payable in class).

For all levels of sewers beyond beginner, this class is designed for those who know how to sew, but want to learn something new. The student decides what they want to learn. Perhaps you are looking to upgrade your skills, since it may have been a long time since you last did any sewing, OR continuing on from a Beginner session. If so, this class is for you. Bring in your project and we will help you diagnose potential problems and provide you with all the help you need. This is an independent study course, so you can work at your own pace. It could also be that you are hesitant to tackle that special project - you know the one you’ve been dying to try but don’t dare: the fancy silk dress... the Vogue pattern... a lined jacket? Snowshoe Hike
