The Group Keyboard class is a comprehensive music program designed to help children learn about music through movement, music-games, ear-training, solfege singing, rhythm activities, and keyboard playing. The small group will work through a one year book of theory and a collection of songs. Classes are age and ability appropriate. This is a good course for the student who thrives in a group setting. Most students continue on to private instruction. Parental participation is NOT necessary in this new class. Designed as a two-year course, classes encourage development of both the individual’s and the group’s musical skills. Class activities cover many aspects of musicianship and keyboard skills. Children develop a sold musical foundation, regardless of future instrument choice. CCM provides keyboards for the group
lessons: however, students must have a piano or keyboard at home on which to practice.
