Demolition Review Bylaw Held for Further Community Discussion
The Carlisle Historical Commission has decided to hold the proposed Demolition Review Bylaw from November’s Special Town Meeting.
Over the past year, the Commission has worked diligently to refine the proposed bylaw—drawing on valuable input from residents, boards, and other town committees. These discussions have helped strengthen the bylaw to better reflect Carlisle’s shared values and goals.
There is still work to be done. In the runup to Annual Town Meeting next spring, the Commission will continue to broaden community engagement through open dialogue, open houses, and public meetings. It is the hope of the Commission that these opportunities will foster open discussion and create space for shared learning about the goals of the Demolition Review Bylaw. Residents are encouraged to stay involved, continue to ask questions, and share their perspectives on ways this bylaw can help inform the future of Carlisle.
Thank you for the continued support and participation in the development of this important bylaw.
