Trust Funds Advisory Subcommittee 

Background: Carlisle has a number of bequests from past residents intended to be awarded to townspeople as scholarships or to Carlisle residents in need of financial assistance. This subcommittee will draw up a formal process for disbursing these funds (actual allocations will later be made by a follow-on committee). 

Time commitment: Completing online OML training, getting sworn in at town hall, attending subcommittee meetings throughout Fall 2025, reviewing materials independently, and presenting the agreed-up process to the Select Board, who will then appoint a committee to carry forward on administering the funds.

If you are interested in joining this advisory subcommittee to draw up a prudent framework on how bequests should be distributed, please email Christine Stevens at cstevens@carlislema.gov by Friday, September 5, with your indication of interest and a short bio.

Planning Board – Special Appointment

Due to a resignation, there is a vacancy on the Planning Board. A volunteer will be appointed jointly by the Select Board and Planning Board with a term to end at the Annual Town Election of 2026. (The volunteer is welcome to run in the election.) The deadline to apply is Friday August 29th.

Affordable Housing Trust

One vacancy, with a term to end June 30, 2026. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Agricultural Commission

One vacancy, with a term to end June 30, 2027. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Board of Registrars

One vacancy, with a term to end 2028. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Cemetery Committee

Two vacancies, with terms to end June 30, 2028. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Community Preservation Committee

One vacancy, with a term to end June 30, 2026. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Recreation Commission

One vacancy, with a term to end June 30, 2027. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Safety Committee

Two vacancies, with terms to end June 30, 2026 and June 30, 2028. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Transfer Station Action Committee

One vacancy, with a term to end June 30, 2027. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.

Environmental Sustainability Committee

One vacancy, with a term to end June 30, 2027. The deadline to apply is Monday August 25th.
