As required by M.G.L. Chapter 51, Section 15, the Board of Registrars consists of the Town Clerk and three other persons who shall be appointed by the selectmen for the term of three years. There can be no more than two members in each major political party. The responsibilities of the Board include maintaining accurate lists of registered voters in the town, conducting elections, being part of the reporting process of elections, conducting recounts, certifying nomination papers and petitions, and conducting an annual census.
